TFA needed parameters

Our SA just installed TFA, and set the grid ID and oracle ID to run the tfactl program, but we get this message when trying to invoke it.

/u01/app/grid/tfa/bin/tfactl

fileparse(): need a valid pathname at /u01/app/grid/tfa/servername/tfa_home/bin/tfactl.pl line 233

I've tried setting a parameter TFA_HOME=/u01/app/grid/tfa or setting it to ORACLE_HOME,  I've also tried setting the TFA_HOME and ORACLE_HOME TO /u01/app/grid/tfa/servername/tfa_home/

Alas the result is the same.

I am reviewing the documentation, but thought if someone knows what is missing, it would speed resolution of our problem.
