What is the standard procedure in OM for sales staff to notify/instruct warehouse staff to pick and

At our client the sales department staff instructs the warehouse staff over phone and also emails a delivery order.

What is the standard solution for this procedure in Oracle OM?

Secondly, picking is done by warehouse staff. How can the sales person sitting in head office pick item units as per the requirement customer has told them.
