Questions on the Oracle Database Appliance x5-2

Hi Team,

I have two question on the new Oracle Database appliance X5-2 which Im hoping you guys could please help me with.

Apparently it was stated at Oracle Open World that the new ODA x5-2 allows for deployment of ODBSE.

As far as I know SE is not permitted on the ODA added to that, ODBSE2 is now the only available Standard Edition license. Given this I have the following questions

  • If the new X5-2 ODA can run standard edition in conjunction with Enterprise Edition  ?
  • If EE Options like Advanced Security are used, can only the cores assigned to the DB be licensed ? (and not all ODA cores).
