plan_maintenance field in wip_discrete_jobs table

Hi all,

Please advice what is the plan_maintenance field does on the wip_discrete_jobs table.  We have some requirement user wants to update the field however in Oracle we dont have ability.  Before we try something if you explain the functionality behind the column would be appreciable.

Kindly let me know if you have any note relate on this.
