Can Rolling Data be used to take Back Up ?

Hi All,

I have to take back up of one of our custom series data. Can Rolling Data be used to take back up ? if so what is the steps for it?

As per my understanding  'We to create new profile and need to give source and target series'.


Secondly in order to take back up of data we have create new custom series as target right ?

Also i wanted to understand what are the other purpose of Rolling Data.
