Can Vertex Q-Series be installed upon release?

Just wondering if the Vertex Payroll Tax tables can be updated as soon as a new data update comes out? for example, the 2016 tax tables will be released somewhere around December 18. Can these be installed right away without adversely affecting tax calculations for the remainder of 2015?
