How can one use item category segments in a factor list?

Found -- How To Use The Item Category Segment Values In Pricing Qualifiers (Doc ID 746020.1), which states:

It is not possible to choose ANY one value of ANY segment. However, it can be done in an hierarchical way.

Suppose there are 3 segments in an Item Category Key Flexfield. Then you can choose any one value for Segment 1,

and leave the other 2 Segments blank. Then the modifier will apply to all the items that belong to the Item Category

with the value of Segment 1 as mentioned above and all the values of Segment 2 and Segment 3.
