Asset - Import Data via Spreadsheet Component

Hi,

In 9.2 - There is a functionality of Import Data via Spreadsheet component which is enables you to enter asset transaction data offline using a spreadsheet application and Comma Separated Values ’CSV’ file, then import the transaction data into Asset Management tables.

My customer is planning an upgrade from v9.0 to v9.2.  In V9.0, they have their own develop a program for asset load (add and or adj) to load data from a csv file into PS_INTFC_FIN and PS_INTFC_PHY_A tables.

Moving to 9,2, they are wonder whether they should drop this program and adopt the delivered functionality of Import Data via Spreadsheet component above.  This depends on how flexible/powerful the delivered functionality of Import Data via Spreadsheet component is.
