Cost for Items with different statuses

Dear All,

We are doing an assessment for one of our clients. They are currently in 11.5.10.2 and have created multiple Inventory organizations to hold the items with different Statuses and have more than 50 Inventory Orgs. All of them are using standard cost currently

We have been asked to asses whether we can limit number of inventory Organizations. we require help for below quey

1) can we hold different cost for same items which has different material statuses in non WMS Org? How to achieve this.
