Pick release back orders despite the item is reserved

Hi

I have a sales order with 2 lines. I have reserved the whole quantity of the 2 lines in the SO. Then from the shipping transaction form, every time I pick release any of the two items, the pick selection concurrent request completes with warning and the line status is back ordered.

How can I troubleshoot the reason for such behavior?
