As outlined on Doc ID 626110.1 and since the deep dark ages of JD Edwards Equipment / Plant Maintenance, the standard process for recording labor costs and time worked on a Maintenance Work Order (WM) was to:

  1. Time Entry (TE) by Employee (G1317/P051121). A batch is created for this entry. This application cannot be viewed in Work With Batches (P0011)
  2. Generate Timecard Journals (G05BT11/R052901). This creates a new batch type, 5, which can be viewed in P0011
  3. Post Journals to the General Ledger (G05BT11/R09801)
  4. Post G/L Entries to Fixed Assets (G1212/R12800). This step may be performed in the General Ledger Post UBE (R09801) by specifying the version of Post G/L Entries to Assets (R12800) in the processing option

Howdy, Stranger!
