P4101 Item master what is the impact of purchase price level 2 or 3 for an item?

hi everyone,

While reviewing our item master lists, we realized that some items had a purchasing price level of 2 and some had a purchasing price level of 3.

We are thinking about standardizing all to be 2 but before that I'd like to be sure of what the impact is.

What does a purchase price level of 3 bring?

Also when I tried to change one item from 3 to 2, I was not able to do it because some data was populated in supplier catalogue table.

What is the link?
