Has anyone seen where Oracle FA allowed an asset to be entered with total units less than 1?

We've found an asset that was entered years ago that has total units of .52.  I didn't think this was possible to do.  Now that we are trying to retire the asset, the system does not allow this as it says the units retired needs to be at least 1.  Has anyone seen this before and if so, how can we retire the asset?
