Excel to CI:The response text is not valid XML.Login Data Cleared.

Attempting to use Excel to CI for the first time in our environment. I have gone through the connection details I believe I have them correct. Connection information was obtained from the URL I am attempting to connect to and the node was found by looking for the default local node within our environment. I can connect to our DEMO environment without an issue but our lower development environment returns the error "The response text is not valid XML.Login Data Cleared." I have read through a few documents including the Oracle one below
