How does RESET POS Price work on existing Promotion (Fixed Price Promotion)?

How does RESET POS Price Regular Price Change type work on existing Fixed Price Promotion?

Steps followed to test the Reset POS price.

1) Item/loc UNit Retail, Regular Unit Retail, Selling Unit Retail is $79.99 and STOCK ON HAND is 10.

2) Create Simple fixed Price Promotion $50 on Transnational level item, i.e (TRAN_LEVEL = 2 and ITEM_LEVEL 2) for the same day assume it is (18-DEC-15).

3) No records on TRAN_DATA table.

4) Create new record on PRICE_HIST and RPM_FUTURE_RETAIL table and updates the ITEM_LOC with PROMO_RETAIL and PROMO_SELLING_RETAIL.

5) Creates record on PAYLOAD tables.

Now Create new emergency Regular Price Change with Change Type 'Reset POS Price' for the same transnational level item on the same day (18-DEC-15).
