Asset Reclassification

Hi,

We have changed the depreciation methods for almost all the assets in the system.

Now we need to create a new set of categories and reclassify all the assets to the newly created categories. When I reclassify the assets to the newly defined categories, what details would be defaulted from the category. Considering that I have changed the method before the reclassification, would that be overridden by the defaults coming from category setups?

Also are the reclassification transactions copied to the tax books at the time of 'periodic mass copy'?

Could somebody just brief as to what is to be kept in mind while I do the reclassification please?
