Is it possible to move an Inventory Organization from one OU to another OU?

Hi,

Due to change in business strategies we have requirement to merge various OU's under one OU, all these Ou's have its individual Inventory ORG with historical data for more than 8 years.

we have tried following :

Setup > Organization > Find

Classification > Inventory Organization > Accounting Information > Change current OU to new.

after this tried to enter Sales Order from new OU with Shipping org as above

all went OK, without system generating Inter company Logical transactions.

Now management wants to know is it right thing or will have some impacts in accounting?
