BI Publisher startup

I am a new user of BI Publisher 11.1.1.7.  I performed a simple install. When I run the startup script from my Middleware_home/user_projects/bifoundation_domain/bin/startWeblogic.sh the script runs the commands and runs on the terminal window.  In other weblogic installations my start script runs and then exits and the startup output is placed in a startup log file.

Is there a way to change this behavior?
