The Client is having several skus that are kitted with a small gift card. Right now, they have to sku the same gift item separately for each different gift card for the various lines of business

They are looking for a way to sku the product once, then allow users to select a gift card option on the product details page, and have the warehouse pick the gift card and the product sku together, without have to pre-kit them. As the gift cards are an inventory item and we will need to manage stock levels.

Right now, we’re spending a lot of time and resources with creating all the different skus, as well as having to kit them all. We also don’t have any flexibility in the inventory if we sell more of one line of business than another. If we want to move inventory to another line of business, they have to be re-kitted and then inventory transferred in the system. If we can allow users to choose their gift card without pre-kitting, it will eliminate a lot of work for several departments.
