What is Oracle's vision on RMS/SIM SOH discrepancy for Sellable Complex Packs?
My company is resarching the feasibility of modifying SIM to track SOH at the component level for Sellable Complex Packs, but before we do so I'd like to understand Oracle's vision for future releases (specifically up to v15).
Does Oracle plan on implementing the enhancement request Bug 10627367 that will allow SIM to track inventory at the component level for sellable complex packs?
I went through Doc ID 1379270.1 Stock On Hand Discrepancy Between RMS and SIM for Pack and Component Items and found the following information.
When a Pack Item is sold at the point of sale(POS) in Retail Merchandising System (RMS) the Stock on Hand (SOH) for component item goes down and SOH for pack item remains same. In Store Inventory Management (SIM), however, SOH for Pack Item goes down and SOH for component items remains the same. This is creates a SOH imbalance between RMS and SIM.
