Difference Between Re-order Qty and Re-Order Point

Dear,

Please give me a good example in detail about the purpose and difference between the Re-order Qty and Re-Order Point.

Moreover, I have to generate the PO automatically, if the on hand qty reach up to certain level of the stock so where I can define the qty either in Re-order Qty or Re-Order Point.
