Disabling Defaulting Rule

HI Guys,

Can anyone help me out on the significance of Defaulting Rule.I just did the below test and want to know if it is correct or not.

1) I have enabled the Line Set = Ship at Customer level.(There is no ship set at Ship to Site or Order type to at any other level to Override)

2) I disabled the Seeded Defaulting Rule for Line Set at Header and Line level

3) I enter a Order and give 2 different Ship Sets to two different line for the Customer manually.(The Ship Set is not getting Defaulted as Defaulting Rule is Diabled and I am able to create two different Ship Sets)
