How to manage kit parent stock

Hi,


We have a prospect that is movie distributor and he is managing DVD blue ray. He's preparing the DVD, means that he is doing the assembly of the DVD (DVD + Plastic box + flyer + jacket), and he's sending the DVD by cartons.

Our idea is to use kit in order to generate a Sales Order for the DVD and then follow the consumption of all components.

We just want to know if we should have a way to follow the kit parent stock, since they are doing high volume assembly, then stock them before doing expedition.

Can you please tell me what is the best way to modelize this configuration, and how to manage easily the parent kit (DVD by movie) in stock ?
