Impact of renaming a GL Account Description

What can possibly be the impact of modifying the Description of an Account? Here are other information:

1. The account has been in use for more than 3 years already

2. The new description is a shortened name only

3. The nature and use of the account is the same

Example:

                                          From                                                                                                                                            To

Accumulated Depreciation of Control and Instrumentation Equipment                                        ACCUM DEPRN COST - CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION EQPT

I am keen on favoring the renaming provided that the nature and use of the account is the same.

But I want to know if any of you have had experience of renaming the account and encountered any adverse impact.
