PM schedules not suppressing

I have had a report of PM schedules not suppressing.  The example given was a Quarterly that should have suppressed the Monthly.  In fact the Quarterly printed out scheduled for the 21st of January and the Monthly printed out scheduled for the 20th of January.  I viewed the Schedule for the Quarterly and saw the suppression for the Monthly; everything seems to be in place. Any idea what could cause this to stop working?
