Install / Support for Oracle Linux 7 on Amazon EC2 HVM

Does Oracle support Oracle Linux 7 on Amazon EC2, for production?  Is it supported under the HVM hypervisor?

How do you install Oracle Linux 7 (or even 6 for that matter) under EC2 HVM (I don’t want to buy a third-party AMI)?

I have seen old documentation such as Oracle’s stance on supporting Oracle Linux 4.4 on AWS running Oracle Virtual Machine.   OVM isn’t even an option when creating an instance, and Amazon’s new hardware only support Hardware-assisted Virtual Machines (HVM). Oracle did provide an EC2 AMI, but it ended at Oracle Linux

I am currently running Oracle Linux 6.6 using a free third-party AMI, upgraded many times, but it is old and using a third-party AMI is a security risk.  It only runs on EC2’s old PV hypervisor.

Howdy, Stranger!
