Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Asset Retirement related queries in 11i and R12

1. Can we retire asset with in the same month which we capitalized? if not what is the alternative process in 11i?

2. Can we retire asset without calculating gain/loss , if yes , please explain me the process to follow.
