GL CoA Hierarchy - Multiple Versions with Effective Date

Hi,

Is it possible to maintain Multiple Versions of Chart of Accounts (CoA) Segment Values Hierarchy in R12?

Example:

In current Hierarchy Structure, 01, 02 and 03 are 3 Values in Balancing Segment. Companies 01 and 02 are attached to Parent A whereas Company 03 is attached to Parent B in Balancing Segment. Now, there is a restructuring effective January 01, 2016 and Company 03 should also move to Parent A. Once Child Value 03 is moved to a new Parent in January 2016, all Historical Reports for year 2015 and before would start including 03 in Consolidated Trial Balance and other Financial Statements of Parent A.

Expectation:

Effective Date for Hierarchy Version is recognized by R12 i.e. Company 03 gets included in Results/Reports of Parent A only for Reports which extract Data from January 01, 2016 and beyond. Any Reports run in Past i.e. 2015 should continue to show Company 03 as a separate Entity and include only Companies 01 and 02 in Parent A.
