Fresh EBS 12.2 install on RAC/ASM

We are having an insane amount of trouble doing a fresh install of EBS 12.2.5 with a RAC/ASM architecture. Much of what I am being told from Oracle and other consultants is to install first on non RAC/ASM, even though it is an option in the Rapid Installer, finish all my upgrades, then convert to RAC/ASM. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Full disclosure: EBS is not my forte. Thanks again!
