Business Continuity for Oracle Ebusiness Release 12 by 11g Physical database

Dear Oracle Experts,

We have implemented  oracle EBS R12  data guard by 11g database. Both production and standby database are synchronized and archive files are applied.

Now I have a confusion that how we can synchronized both ORACLE EBS application on production & standby machine.?

In case of  database switchover , production database become standby and standby database become production , but what about oracle EBS application.?

Is there any mechanism that both applications are also sync.

Kindly clear my doubts.
