ETO Functionality In Distribution Environment

My current client will be using ETO for their Job Cost projects, and will also use standard distribution from their warehouses.  These warehouses sometimes also contain inventory for the Job Cost ETO projects, and sometimes they are the same items used in standard distribution.

I know that ETO needs Stocking Type H, Line Type SC.....but what if the same item can be used for projects and regular distribution?  Is there a recommended solution for this?
