How does Oracle Assets book journal entry for interest expense portion of lease payment on Capital L

On page 9-126 of Oracle Assets User Guide Release 11i Part No. A81359-08, it states:

For each period you make a payment, cash would be credited for the entire amount of

the payment. The offsetting debit is split between liability and interest expense as

calculated above.

But this prargraph has been removed from page 9-198 of Oracle Assets User Guide Release 12.2 Part No. E48755-01.  Why was it removed?

Does 11i Oracle Assets book interest expense separately on the debit side of the lease payment journal entry or not?

Does R12 Oracle Assets book interest expense separately on the debit side of the lease payment journal entry or not?
