Owning Department of Asset

Hi Gurus..

We are implementing eAM for Manufacturing Plan.

We have more than 10K maintainance assets for plant and We have 7 maintainance department under plan which do the maintainance work on asset . department like Mechanical, Elec, Instrunmental,etc.

Now when we define asset in Asset form then we have to provide owning department of Asset , so which department we can consider as owning department ? All assets are belogs to Plant only and all 7 department can involved for maintainance , so logically we should not consider one specific department as owning department . Should we create Plant as owning department or maintainance dept ? Please advise.
