How do we setup user defined and MRP calculate method in JDE-VCP standard PIP Integration ? We are o

We have some items for which we need to setup SS manually and time varying and have systems to calculate for some other items. Current PIP design seem to support both the methods and we need to stick to one method. This is absurd where business will want to have two methods. Anyone on PIP 11.6 JDE-VCP integration. Appreciate any pointers. I understand we can do a bit of customization but I want to check if there is any alternative.
