Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. This means that users with generic domains (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, and others) will no longer be granted access to the discussion forums and ideas labs. If this policy affects you, act now to change the email address that is associated with your Oracle (and community) account. BI Publisher (MOSC)

BI_PUBLISHER 11.1.1.7.0 update to 11.1.1.9.0

Hello:

I deinstalled BI_PUBLISHER 11.1.1.7.0 and kept Oracle metadata repository, now I Installed bi_publisher 11.1.1.9.0

but while running the configuration assistant it is unable to connect to Oracle Metadata repository to update

BIPLATFORM schema, I would like to clarify that connection string, BIPLATFORM user name and password are correct,
my question is do i have to recreate metadat repository for BI_PUBLISHER 11.1.1.9.0 or the one created for bi-publisher 11.1.1.7.0 is compatible....?
