for replacement order - re-attach child component to parent

I created bill of materials as follows:

DJ LAPTOP

DJ PRINTER ( as a component)

I created an order for DJ LAPTOP, booked and shipped the order

Install Base instantiated DJ LAPTOP, with DJ PRINTER as a subcomponent

Then I entered a replacement order for DJ PRINTER, using IB transaction subtype seeded "Replace" to replace the printer on the initial order

I booked and shipped the replacement order

The following occurred

- old printer changed status to "Replaced"

- new printer was instantiated in install with base "Latest" status

However, the new printer was standalone and i was expecting it to be re-attached to the parent.
