*** How to update end user using Mass Edit functionality in Install base ( R12 ) ***

We are trying to use Mass Edit functionality in Install base in R12. Our business wants to update just the end user of the instance and DO NOT want to update the owner.

Is there a way to just update the end user with out updating the owner ? Please confirm
