Changing Input currency in Salary Element created from Earnings form

I'm trying to create a Salary element using Earnings form in US Business Group which should have Input Currency Other than USD and Output Currency can remain USD. However, when I query the element created, the Currency Section is not editable to change Input Currency. If I create Salary element from Element Description form directly, I can achieve this. But wanted to make sure if there is a way to do it when creating from Earnings form.
