Opportrunities and Revenues

Hi all

Have a configuration question for you all.  I understand the basic functionality of when a new opportunity is created, that the revenue record is automatically created and that this happens in the back end and is not configurable.  Is there a way to pre-default the revenue description and comments fields to the values on the parent opportunity when it is created?  I have tried the pre-default property on the fields in the BC and it doesn't work.  Is there another way to accomplish this?
