Can I consolidate using an entered currency?

We are on 11.5.9 and we allow posting across sets of books when our customers pay into the wrong account.  Here is an example:

Invoice 123456 $1,000 USD dated 9/30/15 Company 20 functional currency is EUR

Customer pays $1,000 USD to bank account owned by Company 10, whose functional currency is USD

We have added the USD bank account owned by company 10 to company 20 set of books.  When we post the receipt the accounting is:

DR Cash company 10

CR A/R company 20

The intercompany balancing entries are created when post the journal entry.

The issue is when we translate and consolidate the balances in company 20 to USD and consolidate to company 10.  The 1,000 USD is being translated from the EUR value back to usd which is the wrong amount.  I understand when the USD acct is owned by the EUR entity but in this case, we actually have the 1,000USD in the US.  Is there any way to consolidate it at that value always?

Howdy, Stranger!
