Clarification on Portal technologies / Self Service Apps

Hi all,

I'm very confused with all kinds and portal's versions. I saw a bunch of documents and I read about Web center Portal, Portal framework, Portal spaces and Collaborative Portal. What's the difference between them?

And more, is any of the mentioned portal version a requirment in order to install Supplier Self Services apps and buyer workspace??

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm using JDE E1 9.2 with TR 9.2.0.1
