ASM file path, registry file

Hi,

11.2.0.3..

i)

db_create_file_dest is +data01 but it is taking full path  +DATA_01/e1dvpp/datafile when creating the datafile.....where is ASM getting the path " +DATA_01/e1dvpp/datafile"?

ii) When we create asm diskgroup, it createas a file called registrty** ..any idea what is te purpose of the file?
