Changed Product Structure Impact on existing Assets

Hi,

I would like to know what if products structure gets changed(like addition /deletion/updation of product in the structure) and if i we do modify order on the existing assets. Will that new changes be applied to the structure in the modify order?

As per my knowledge i believe Assembly Port Id, Port Valid Product id will be compared. If any values are missed, modify order will not be created

What i understood from the bookshelf is that Delta method will do the respective changes in the Modify order.?

Please mention how it works.
