Why can't I see the OS User on the Search Sessions table?

Recently moved the database from Open VMS to Microsoft windows server (11g/2008 windows server). Using DB Control to admin. When testing the applications, we can see a user logged into the database, but if they are coming from any machine other than the webserver machine, we see 'NT Authority/Anonymous Login' in the OS User column (this is on the 'Search Sessions' tab). If they log in from the webserver machine then it shows the machine and OS user correctly. How do we to fix this? We have been having these web apps use a common username to log in, so
