Changing number of Essbase security file backups

We are runnig Essbase v11.1.2.1 and the NUMBEROFSECFILEBACKUPS is set to 2.  If we wanted to change that to a higher number are there any other steps other than changing the setting and restarting Essbase?  If there are not a large number of security changes during the day, are 2 security backup files sufficient for recovery?  Thanks
