List database incarnations catalog returns more than the current DBID

Hi

These are 11gR2 RAC on Linux x86_64.  We have various RAC versions, from 11.2.0.2 through 11.2.0.4.  The RMAN catalog RAC database is 11.2.0.2.

We use the same database names on different clusters, so the catalog database has four different DBP03 databases registered.  Today when I was researching another RMAN problem (question on that problem separately), I connect to both the target database, dbp03 on cluster 3, and the catalog.  I issued command "list database incarnations;", and was surprised when all four of DBP03 databases' incarnation data was returned.

connected to target database: DBP03 (DBID=1514827723)

connected to recovery catalog database

RMAN> list incarnation of database;

Howdy, Stranger!
