SL3000 + SAMFS tape drives failed after library move, 3 out of 4 replacement drives report "Can not
HI There,
we have just relocated our datacentre and have moved an SL3000, managed through SAMFS, which was working perfectly, to a new location and for the first time are experiencing difficulties. Following the move of the library, 4 out of 9 drives experienced problems powering on and were replaced on a service callout.
Following replacement and restart of the library and application all drives presented as available and were used, of the 4 drives which were replaced, 3 reported problems with the rewind and removal of tapes. An engineer visited us and performed a check of the tape drives through the SL3000 console and can select and mount/unmount tapes with no problem.
