Incorrect Calculation of Gain/Loss on Disposal of Asset with Multiple CF_SEQNO

 

We are having issue with the Asset Management application creating – Out Of Balance GL entries – for the Retirement of certain Assets with multiple CF_SEQNOs.  The Entries in DIST_LN balance for the Asset – but not by the individual CF_SEQNO.  This generates Errors in the GL for being out of balance.

 

These problems are with the way the system calculates GAIN/LOSS on disposal of an asset by using a ratio of a given CF_SEQNO cost to the total cost of the asset.  But the GAIN/LOSS should be calculated by taking the cost of a CF_SEQNO and subtracting the accumulated depreciation for the same CF_SEQNO.
