When running Create Accounting - Assets, Viewing Output:  Subledger Accounting Program has some errors on GL Date due to a closed GL Periods:

Error 95325 The GL date DD-MON-YYYY is not in an open or a future enterable period. Please select a valid GL date or open the period.

The GL Period can not be reopened. There is a suggestion:

a)  Open the GL periods to allow Create Accounting completion without error.  Ensure you're running with Allow GL Import = Yes but set GL Posting = NO.   Then, via standard GL Functionality,  open the Journal created and update the period to your desired period.  You may then post the journal.  Keep in mind if you've already created manual JEs for the same, those will need to be reversed to avoid duplication.
