is it possible to share the same trail file between many target systems using NAS share ?

I have the configuration with 3 data sources and over 20 targets. All extract files are applied by all 20 targets (Coherence). I wonder how to organize storage - Could it be NAS share mounted all over and therefore having trail files available by all Replicat processes ? I can see a problem with purging old extract files as this is done by Manager process. What about locking issues on extract files ? Or should I go for separate file systems/NAS shares and use Pump processes? The goal is to optimize it and simplify.
